FORT MYERS, Fla. — The suspect in a Fort Myers hit-and-run crash that injured two pedestrians turned herself in for the crime on Thursday.

Candie Rodrigues (74) was taken into custody for the 2022 crash.

The crash happened on Feb. 25, 2022, at approximately 10:29 PM near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Ave and Broadway Ave.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department (FMPD), investigators responded to the scene, and on March 15, 2023, an arrest warrant was issued for Rodrigues.

Rodrigues is facing charges for two counts of leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injuries.
