IMMOKALEE, Fla. – A man threatened to shoot people inside an Immokalee casino on Sunday morning.

Around 4:49 a.m., Andrew Marquis Wallace, 21, was cut off from the bar at the Seminole Casino Hotel in Immokalee, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

Officials report Wallace stated he was going to his car to get a gun and shoot the people inside the casino.

Deputies found Wallace in his car, and a traffic stop was initiated.

Wallace informed deputies he did not have any weapons in the car. But while being placed into handcuffs, Wallace admitted there was a gun under his seat.

The gun was loaded, and a round was in the chamber. A laser sight was attached, and the safety was off.

When more deputies arrived on the scene, they also noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the car.

15.9 grams of marijuana were also found inside the center console.

Wallace was put into a police car kicking and screaming.

Officials say the gun they found on Wallace matched the description of the one he threatened to use in the shooting.

Wallace was taken to the Collier County Jail for possession of marijuana and simple assault.

The CCSO states the gun was taken into custody for safekeeping.
