COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A man was struck and killed while walking in Collier County on Saturday.

Around 10:00 p.m., a 54-year-old man from Port St.Lucie was driving a trailer south on State Road 29, heading toward Farm Worker Way.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a 28-year-old Immokalee man was walking south in the travel lane.

The right front of the car hit the pedestrian, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver was uninjured.

The FHP states this crash remains under investigation.
